Coding in perl
« on: October 22, 2010, 03:09:04 AM »

I used to do a lot of coding in perl for web applications, but it seems that perl is becoming obsolete in favor of PHP and Ajax and javascript. Do you still use perl? Are there some applications that are better in perl than the other options?

Perl is mostly used on Linux machines - it is similar to PHP in some ways, but has to be parsed differently. Most Linux machines support perl, even if it isn't used much.
