Historically, CFML was always a commercial solution, with only Adobe and New Atlanta selling commercial engines. BlueDragon, to which OpenBlueDragon has been forked, is the engine that is powering MySpace.com and runs both on the .NET and J2EE platforms. Now that CFML has been open sourced, with a friendly GPLv3 license, we can start doing the things with CFML that we've been dying to do for years. This includes building bundles and packages to get people up and running very fast. ElasticServer is the perfect vehicle for allowing customized bundle to be created and deploy. Open BlueDragon, was released as a GPLv3 open source project, on the 3rd of May 2008. Designed to capitalise on the popularity of the Java CFML runtime engine, by bringing together a community of users and experts to drive the future of CFML as a whole.
